more satisfied with the quiet lifestyle she lives. She’s more
accepting of people. - Flossmoor, IL God and Church award

confident that when I cried he would help me through it and
understood what I was thinking. - Ft Jackson, SC
- My favorite parts of God
and Church were the making the video, and Lesson Seven. I
remember when I made a mistake in my video. I said “Hello” but
omitted an “O”. I laughed about it for a long time. This
program is cool! Thanks! – Boy Scout, Brunswick, OH
-
Joe is beginning to realize the
importance of reading God’s Word. To this point I believe that
this has been the most beneficial program that Joe has been
involved in and that through this Jesus has begun drawing Joe to
Himself. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Elk Grove, CA
-
The Counselor
booklet made my job easier, the hard part was deciding of all
the options, which one we were going to do. Counselor, Elk
Grove, CA
-
This sure beats
the previous curriculum since it is divided into sections that
can be covered in 1-1/2 hours. Hickory, NC
-
This was great
curriculum and I will use it for confirmation class. Campbell,
NY
-
My son enjoyed
creating a Sunday service that his Boy Scout Troop used on a
camp out. Houston, TX

Mike is more
thankful for what he has since he did his community service
project. He worked with mentally challenged adults. Our family
witnessed this and we are thankful as well.

My favorite
lesson was visiting other Christian churches and seeing
different ways to worship.
-
Our son says that
once he starts reading in his Bible he has a desire to keep on
reading. Amarillo, TX
-
Kids learn in
many different ways now. I thought this was a good book. Pastor,
Lakeland FL
-
My favorite part
was when we had to read from the Bible daily for a month. It was
mandatory, and I had to make time to read from the Bible. This
was my favorite part. Brookfield, CT

intentionality of the Bible study and reflections that occur
when we participate in the P.R.A.Y. programs. Morristown, NJ

God and
Church curriculum is excellent! We met every week for three
months. Each boy had one parent present each week. Our associate
pastor met with the boys, and all ministers were invited to the
final project presentations. Charlotte, NC

My favorite part
was going to the retirement home. I still go even though I have
finished this program. Wylie, TX

all of the people there. Morristown, NJ

We went to each
Scout’s home church and included that in our discussions,
similarities and differences.
-
Our group planned
an outdoor worship for the Troop campout.
-
My son has
started reading the Bible now because of this program. Paducah,
KY
-
Actually, in the
final discussions, we found that the video was the most fun --
and perhaps the most memorable for the group. They acted out
Jesus' miracle of changing water into wine. It was kind of
"amateur" and low-budget-- without costumes, etc, -- I thought
it would be a bust, but they actually loved it.
-
Our son is
getting closer to God. We had a lot of personal troubles (our
house burned), but he is going back to God.
-
My favorite part
of the God and Church program would probably be the part where
we filmed the commercial with the puppets … another person in
our group was dressed up in a “beard-wig thing.” Elk Grove, CA
-
He enjoyed the
closeness of the group as they completed each lesson and
community church project. Morristown, NJ

favorite parts was when I got to go get a tour at the Veteran’s
Nevada Nursing Home and how we got to make a movie. Boulder

This program was
used in connection with our one-on-one mentoring program for
confirmation. They met once a week for 16 weeks, as well as
group activities. This is a nice program that allows the scout
to see for herself the connection of faith in their lives.
-
What I liked best
about God and Church is drawing the pictures at the end of each
lesson.
-
Because of this
program we have sat down and taken time to read and discuss the
Bible together. For both of us, it has been a fun and
interesting step on our faith journey. Midwest City, OK (mentor
and scout)
-
I liked playing
the different memory games like Jeopardy. I also enjoyed doing
the community service project. It made me feel kind of proud.
Houston, TX

She has started
asking questions that seem more reflective toward her
understanding, not just repeated what was said in class.
Houston, TX
-
I really like
video taping our broadcast. How can I forget any of it? Marion,
KY
-
My favorite parts
were the projects for the photo album. The projects made it more
than just book work. They made it fun. I looked forward to
completing the lesson, not only because I was one step closer to
finishing, but also because I got another project to do. I
didn’t really have a favorite lesson, but I will remember
everything learned for this. Phoenix, AZ
-
Good program;
good Bible study focus; good activities, good accountability.

It worked well
with our church confirmation program.
-
We saw in this
course an amazing metamorphosis. Our youth participant summed it
up best: “When I started this program, I was only interested in
getting the medal – now that we are finished, I don’t want the
classes to end.” Both youth and mentors got so much out of the
program, they are all interested in helping put on the next
programs. Springfield, MA
-
Lesson 4 struck
youth and parents most as they came face-to-face with their
attitude toward worship compared to the example of Christ.
Paulding, OH
-
My favorite part
was the album that we had to do every section. It was cool to
see on paper my view on Jesus’ life. It was also cool to see
different houses of worship. I also liked it when I found out
all this stuff about our church and the history of it.
Colchester, CT

It was easy for
me as the counselor to use and add follow-up questions and
comments. I believe it was well suited for Junior High level and
opened the door for good conversation. Columbus, NE

the program was referring to and having us find answers from
scripture. Also under “Picture This” – the variety of
ideas/choices was good and each girl could choose what she’d
enjoy to do.” Torrance, CA
-
I couldn’t be
more pleased. My child seems more aware and interested in living
a lifestyle that keeps him close to God. We have enjoyed our
prayer time together. Wylie, TX
-
The
best thing I remember about God and Church is the activities we
did such as the video taping. We fished and we played a jeopardy
game. My favorite, but hardest lesson, was lesson 3 where I had
to memorize the Nicene Creed. Louisville, KY
- I enjoyed
making the movies the most. I liked all the lessons. It was
mostly fun, but there were some hard parts. Learning the
difference between ministering and witnessing was the hardest,
especially when we had to flip the coin. I would recommend the
program to other people because it’s fun and you get to learn
more about your religion and faith. I finished it because I had
a mom who pushed me and helped me finish and a good counselor
who helped me a lot! Louisville, KY
