P.R.A.Y. Announces revised god and LIFE curriculum

(St. Louis, MO) – Programs of Religious Activities with youth (P.R.A.Y.) has revised the God and Life religious award program for Protestant youth in grades nine through twelve.

This is the fourth and final program to be revised in the God and Country series. The new God and Life curriculum is based on the life of the Apostle Paul as recorded in Acts 9:1-31. Five chronological "events" out of this story will be highlighted and used to illustrate a key element in learning how to live one's life for Christ:

 1. Before his conversion, Paul persecuted Christians. ►God calls all kinds of people.

2. Paul was helped by Ananias and Barnabas. ►God doesn’t expect us to do it on our own.

3. Paul was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. ►Each of us must make a personal response to the call of God.

4. Paul faced many difficulties and endured much pain. ►God gives strength to face adversities.

5. Paul’s faithfulness was a tool God used to strengthen and grow the church. ►God can accomplish great things through those who are willing to do God’s will.

The revised curriculum includes several new features:

·         Improved Counselor Manual with sample lesson plans, opening activities, discussion helps, and additional resources for class settings

·         Space to record answers in the Student Workbook

·         New embroidered patch

·         Multiple Order Form

·         Program resources on the P.R.A.Y. web site.

The new curriculum became available December 2004 from P.R.A.Y. The new books are not compatible with the old (i.e., you cannot use an old Counselor Manual with the new Student Workbook). Contact P.R.A.Y. (at 1-800-933-7729 or www.praypub.org) or your local council service center.
