If you would like to announce a God and Life
class in churches, you may choose to use the following
information or handout. Remember, youth from all three
agencies (Boy Scouts of America, Camp Fire USA, Girls
Scouts of the USA, American Heritage Girls) who attend Protestant and Independent
churches can work on this program. You may want to
contact the pastors of neighboring churches (of your
denomination or others) and invite their youth as well.
Additionally, youth who do not belong to any youth
agency are also welcome to participate in the God and
Life program and to earn the recognition items.

All
young people in ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth
grades are invited to join us on ______________(date) at
____________(time) to begin a God and Life
program at ________________(name of meeting location).
We will be meeting __________________(list dates or
frequency – ie: every Monday for five weeks). The
God and Life curriculum is based on the life of the
Apostle Paul as recorded in Acts 9:1-31. This is a brief
account that describes how Paul encountered Christ and
was changed forever. Five chronological "events" out of
this story will be highlighted and used as the focus for
the five different sections in this program. Each
section will illustrate a key element in learning how to
live one's life for Christ. We will celebrate the
completion of the program with a final party on
_____________ (date – list this information only if you
will be having a class party). The cost of this program
is _____ (list price), which covers the price of the
student workbook. This program is officially recognized
by the Boy Scouts of America, Camp Fire USA, and the
Girl Scouts of the USA as the religious awards program
for youth in our church and youth in those organizations
are particularly encouraged to attend. In addition to
participating in the meetings and completing family
projects, youth are required to share what they have
learned with the pastor before they are eligible for the
