“I am a
children's pastor and was asked a few months ago by a family
if I would do the God and Country program with their child. I
had never heard of it but agreed to read the material and led
this child through it. Cody had been a "problem child" in
SundaySchool and other activities, and most of the children's
workers did not know how to effectively handle him. Cody met
with me for an hour each week until we completed the material
and after we finished he asked to be baptized so I went
through baptism lessons with him after we finished the God and
Country lessons. The change in Cody has been unbelievable! I
have had several adults ask me what has happened to Cody! He
is a changed child and it started with the God and Country
program! His attitude is so different!! I'm glad I agreed to
do this with Cody as I feel that I have helped to drastically
change a life!” - Indianapolis, IN

“We had
never sat down to read the Bible together. My son had Bible
study at Sunday school and Children’s Church. I read the Bible
for Saint Mary classes and Sunday school, but we never read
together. Through this program we read together.” Leavenworth,

Dear
P.R.A.Y. Publishing:
We
have just completed the God and Country program at our church.
I am a Girl Scout leader and thought our troop would like to
earn a religious award. I started asking if any girls were
interested. We had quite a few to sign up. My son is also a
Boy Scout. He asked to do this program also. Then I said,
“Let’s ask your troop to join ours.” They were interested
also. Then I thought of the church youth. Some of them were
interested. I couldn’t believe all of the interest that I had.
So I then spoke to my pastor. We decided to order books of all
grades to see if we liked the program. My pastor and myself
loved it. We had such a large number sign up we had to
have 8 counselors, two for each grade level. I have had a
really good time with this program and I mentored my daughter.
My husband mentored my son. We have had whole families doing
this together. We all hated to end the program. We met once a
week and discussed our lessons, did activities, and studied
and learned together. It brought families closer together and
we learned about God and our selves. I am very proud of our
Scout and church youth. We had 8 counselors, 12 mentors, 11
Girl Scouts, 7 Boy Scouts, and 3 church youth. Almost 50
people involved. We even had a volunteer to keep children in
the nursery so parents could mentor. I can’t express enough
how much I truly enjoyed this curriculum. I am most certainly
going to try to continue this program for our Scouts and
church youth.
