Introduction
This Interfaith Religious Toolkit is designed to help Girl
Scout councils understand the value of working with the religious community. We believe
that this toolkit will be valuable for a number of reasons:
- The toolkit represents a cooperative effort between the religious
committees/organizations that serve Girl Scouting.
- It is comprehensive and inclusive of all religious programs recognized by
GSUSA.
- It presents the bigger picture of why Girl Scout councils should work with
the religious community.
- It provides specific resources and strategies for building and strengthening
the relationship between Girl Scout councils and religious institutions.
- It promotes the religious recognitions programs for girls and young
women.
- Girl Scout councils have permission to duplicate any of the resources
contained in the toolkit. The manual and resources are also available at
www.praypub.org.
