God and Me Requirements

The following requirements will all be completed at camp unless otherwise noted. All games will be constructed at camp, but participants need to play their games with their families at home.

Section 1: God Created Me

q       God Said That It Was Good (Genesis 1:1 – 2:3)

q       God Calls Me by Name (Isaiah 43:1-2,4)

q       GAMEBox – Memory/Matching Game

q       Project – Poster of My Life (to be assigned BEFORE the retreat)

Section 2: Jesus Is God’s Gift to Me

q       Jesus is Born (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-35; Luke 2:1-20; Matthew 2:1-12)

q       Jesus Was Born to Be Our Savior (John 3:16)

q      GAMEBox – Guessing Game

q       Project – Stained-glass window craft

Section 3: I Can Talk with God

q       Jesus Prayed to God (Mark 1:35-37)

q       Memorize the Lord’s Prayer (notify participants BEFORE the retreat so that they may start on this requirement)

q       God Talks to Samuel (1 Samuel 3:1-10)

q       GAMEBox – Prayer Cube

q       Project – Prayer Rock (participants will receive and decorate a prayer rock, but the hiding game will be played at home with the entire family)

Section 4: Because God Cares for Me, I Can Care for Others

q       Jesus Is the Good Shepherd (Matthew 18:12-14)

q       Jesus Is a Friend to All (Luke 19:1-10)

q      GAMEBox – Board Game

q      Project – Your own choice (to be done at home after the retreat)
