According to AHG, the Troop Shepherd should “Be the ‘go to’ person for Religious Recognitions programs in the Troop or delegate to others. [And] Encourage all girls to participate in the Religious Recognition programs of their denomination.”
Check out the resources to promote the P.R.A.Y. awards to girls who are Protestant Christian.
But the Troop Shepherd is responsible for much more than just the Religious Recognitions programs. The Troop Shepherd is to “Encourage the spiritual growth of girls and Adult Volunteers through devotionals, Bible studies, etc.”
Check out the Bible Basics RP3 series, a free curriculum for all ages including adults. Use the RP3 series in a combined setting, ask older girls to help lead sessions, or take the Bible patches to camp.
